studio workshops
My workshops invite you to experience the quiet thrill of creating, of thinking through making.
At the heart of being human is the impulse to observe, to mark, and to communicate. When we make images by direct means, we connect with ourselves and with others in ways than using words.
Each session introduces a small selection of image-making techniques. But the real focus is on the immediate, physical engagement with materials.
Participants are encouraged to respond instinctively: to draw, paint, or mark with purposeful presence. Together, we will explore the uncanny, the process of creation: a shared act that opens individual perspectives while revealing what we hold in common.
Chinese ink brush drawing
This session introduces participants to the pleasure of working with Chinese ink. It is an elegant and responsive medium explored through both drawing and painting.
drawing still life
This session introduces still life through drawing and painting, designed for beginners who want to connect as a group while learning the art of observation and the joy of mark making.
